Over the last two weekends the AH team have had the absolute pleasure of visiting Copenhagen to meet with lots of wonderful brides-to-be who live in Denmark! On the first weekend we had a beautiful stand at Bryllups wedding fair followed by a Pop-Up shop at the Nobis Hotel a week later. This was a very special opportunity for us to meet with lots of brides who love our designs in an exciting city that as a team, we love! Here’s how it all went, captured by the very talented Monique Maarschalk
Bryllupsmesse
When we planned to take AH to Copenhagen it only made sense to attend the biggest wedding fair in Denmark. A fantastic wedding show with a curated selection of wedding suppliers, from wedding dresses through to flowers, venues through to rings – it was the perfect place for couples to start planning their wedding day.
Daniel, Siobhan & Celina arrived on Friday evening to set up our stand, bringing the AH homely aesthetic to the fair. We hung curtains, put up our signage, steamed all of the dresses that had been brought over in suitcases! Arranged furniture, cushions and the most beautiful flowers, kindly provided by Holly Flower Studio.
And just like that, we were set for a busy weekend ahead…
On Saturday and Sunday we met with so many lovely brides, finding out more about their wedding day, meeting their partners and understanding what type of wedding dress they were looking for. We browsed through our designs together, discussing our natural silk materials (which everyone loved!) the different types of details such as beading or lace. We also spoke a lot about customisations, something which we do all the time at AH, the simple adding or taking away of a sleeve could make it the perfect dress so it was really exciting to discuss our flexibility with design changes.
Over the course of the weekend we fully booked out our Pop-Up shop the following weekend! A personal, private appointment with Andrea at the Nobis Hotel to try on our designs, discuss customisations and fabrics. A really special opportunity to view a wide selection of our dresses in the most beautiful surroundings.
The Catwalk
Our two models Anna and Andrea had so much fun on the catwalk showcasing some of our favourite collection pieces. Anna was actually one of our real brides who wore AH back in 2019 for her wedding day so it was extra special for us all. Andrea wore our Phoenix dress and Astral design whilst Anna wore our new Lily dress and much loved Nova!
After the catwalk events we had some time to capture some beautiful shots of Anna, Andrea and our designs. We styled up each look with veils and capesto really highlight the transitional elements of our collections.
The show came to a close on Sunday evening, which is when we packed down our stand, said goodbye to our brides, models and headed back to London! But only for a few days….
Our Pop-Up Shop
Back in London we curated a selection of dresses based on what our brides from the fair wanted to try on at their appointments in our Pop-Up shop. Andrea and Rebecca flew over to Copenhagen the following Friday to set up our appointment based Pop-Up Shop at the Nobis Hotel. Our suite was absolutely stunning. Set in a historic building from 1903, the interior was designed by Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh creating a contemporary, warm and inviting feel. We couldn’t think of a space more suited to our designs.
After setting up our suite, Andrea, Rebecca and Celina had two full days of appointments with brides based in Copenhagen. Each bride had a personal, private appointment to explore our designs, try different shapes and styles whilst learning more about our sustainability, fabrics and services. We absolutely loved this experience and helped many brides to find their dream dress over the weekend. Rebecca, our seamstress and fitter was on hand to assist with fitting advice, measurements and sizing.
From all of us here at AH, we want to say a big thank you to everyone who visited our stand and Pop-up Shop in Copenhagen. We loved meeting you and can’t wait to create your dresses in our London Studio!
