When it comes to choosing your accessories and finishing touches to your bridal look make sure you leave yourself time to explore options and find the perfect details. Accessories shopping is so much fun and allows you to be really creative with your styling. A statement veil or modern cape can completely transform your look and help define your personality in your final bridal look!
For any brides getting married this Spring/Summer we would love to see as soon as possible for an Accessories appointment at our studio. Ideally, we like to see you outside of your dress fittings to look at accessories so that you have time to focus on all of your favourite veils, capes, belts and tops. There will also be plenty of opportunities during your fittings to try on some accessories too!

In this blog we’re going to highlight some of our favourite wedding dress additions and offer some guidance on lead times so you know exactly when to start thinking about your accessories.
When should I choose my veil?
When you start shopping for your wedding dress, our stylists will start the conversation with you about your bridal accessories, whilst these may not be the full focus during your dress search it’s helpful to start trying on a few design to see if a veil is for you!

By starting early you will have time to work out what length, style, width and details you would like on your veil. We love to have 2-6 weeks to make your veil, depending on the style we may need a little more time.
Our ‘Meaghan’ Veilis one of our all time favourite additions to our silk designs, this particular veil is hand appliquéd by our in house team. We love the organic, natural feel of this veil, it works beautifully for outdoor weddings, bringing botanical floral elements into your bridal look.
For a modern, minimal feel look no further than our ‘Abby’ Veil, a barely there feel for a contemporary bridal look. This is works beautifully with our simplistic dresses but also works perfectly with a more detailed, lace designs – this veil really lets your dress take centre stage by delicately framing you as you walk down the aisle.
For a more classical bridal look, we love a lace edge veil. It adds just the right amount of detail and creates a beautifully romantic look. Our ‘Elizabeth’ Veil is a firm favourite with our brides, the lace edge is both classic and modern – bridging the gap for a modern day bride.
When should I order a wedding cape/top?
We absolutely love a bridal top or cape to complete your bridal look. They offer you the chance to change up your look throughout the day transitioning seamlessly from formal ceremony to party!

Explore our Bridal Capes
When shopping for your wedding dress, these accessories can often be a crucial part of your wedding dress look so it’s great to try lots of option at this stage. However, if you find yourself longing after a bridal cape/top later down the line to complete your look, we’re here to help! As these pieces are often more detailed we like to have a little more time to create this with you, they also often need some alterations work to align perfectly with your dress.
We would suggest to choose your cape/veil either when you order your dress or 3-4 weeks before the first fitting of your dress. This will allow us enough time to make your piece and have it ready to fit with your dress design.
If you’re not sure on a veil but love the idea of beautiful flowing tulle, we absolutely adore our ‘Bia’ Cape, dramatic but simple, this design offers everything that a veil does and more. Pair with one our bias cut designs for maximum impact!
Bloused sleeves are having a moment and we’re here for it! When done in the right way they can add the perfect playful element to your bridal look without overwhelming the design. Our ‘Arkle’ top made from silk organza creates the perfect amount of ‘bounce’ at the shoulder to give an elevated sleeve that is fun but feminine. The fluted cuff adds another element of surprise!
We love a lace top or lace coat to add some texture and pattern to a simple silk design. They create a moment in your day where you can transform your look in an easy way. We love our ‘Rebecca Coat’ for a modern take on a bridal coat. This Geometric French Lace is unexpected and offers a completely different feel to a floral lace.
What Do I Wear on The Morning of My Wedding?
There’s nothing better than starting your wedding day in something you feel amazing in! Which is why we created our range of Silk and Tencel PJ’s and Robes available to purchase through our Online Shop or in store, we have these designs available to show you during your appointments/fittings so you can get a feel for the materials and sizing.
All PJ sets and Robes are made in our London studio and take 2-4 weeks to make, if you need them sooner just let us know and we can help!
Made from luxurious sandwash silk and natural Tencel, our PJ and Robes are incredibly soft to wear and are perfect for getting ready on the morning of your wedding. Treat yourself to a set for your special day and wear them time and time again to remind you of that time. You may also want to treat a special family member of your bridesmaids with matching sets!
